#009319: fatal content structure menu error with > 3 levels open

3 levels deep is fine, but as soon as i open the fourth level of the content structure menu in the admin interface the whole thing eats dust...

Fatal error: eZ publish did not finish its request

The execution of eZ publish was abruptly ended, the debug output is present below.

...this also occurs if i navigate directly to a node that opens up that many levels in the csm, and persists until i manually clear the cache from the command line.

i've always read that a php memory limit of 64 MB should be enough for ezpublish, so it seems likely that this is due to a bug.
